Introducing CB Greenfield

A tale of crime in small town USA, the story by Lucille Kallen also establishing the newspaper owner CB Greenfield and his long sufferiing main reporter Maggie who does most of the work. 

The initial crime (a hit and run) is fairly low-key but this soon leads to other more serious crimes as secrets are gradually unravelled involving a number of families in the town...

The story is a little slow to get going but nicely swerves the reader as the main crime turns out to be not quite as expected. The story is ultimately enjoyable despite the lead named character Greenfield being somewhat annoying. 

Stick with it for Maggie though who is great!
